About... our church.
Our mission: To know Christ and to make Him known.
How do we do that? As we love, serve, and share the Gospel, we seek to transform lives and communities.
About... our pastor.
My name is Arlene Jackson and I'm an alcoholic! I've said this introduction thousands of times in 12 step recovery programs all over the country. I have been in active recovery since 1985, attending all the local meetings, interacting with professional programs and agencies, and watching God change lives before my very eyes. Recovery led me to Jesus, and I was rocketed into the fourth dimension of life, and I want everyone else to know the abundant life God has for them when they come to know Jesus. I've been a resident of Cape Coral since 1990, via New York (my birthplace) as well as Texas and California. Prior to becoming a pastor, I was a paralegal and an entrepreneur in several enterprises, all the way from manufacturing Christmas ornaments to preparing legal documents. I studied at Duke Divinity School and I love the United Methodist Church. My passion is spreading the love and strength of Jesus to hurting people and watching how God does his miracles in their lives. Serving at Hope UMC is a joy, because Hope is Here! We have the power through Jesus to change lives. I hope you come and engage in our mission here, to know Christ and make him known. If you do, you'll never be the same!
Pastor Arlene is a long time resident of Cape Coral and has been married to her husband, Chris for 20 years, and they share five children between them.
